Strip Down Air Conditioning
Air conditioning service
Location: Loughborough
Attended site on a report of poor airflow coming from the shop cassette A/C unit. Cassette type air conditioning units may need a strip down depending on the environment the unit is in and the frequency of use. Units are usually discovered to need a strip down if either the air flow is poor, or it has been discovered on a maintenance that the coil or internal drain is blocked. To start, the cassette unit is isolated and dismantled, removing the drip tray, and exposing the coil. Fan blade and motor is removed allowing space for us to clean the coil. The coil is brushed free from debris and is flushed out multiple times with anti-bacterial disinfectant. The condensate tray is treated with a disinfectant too and cleaned out, I have attached photos so you can see the before and after of the condensate clean. The condensate tray is then put back into place and the internal coil is flushed out again allowing the internal pumps to be tested. Filters then are cleared and treated with disinfectant and deodoriser.
Cassette and wall mount air conditioning strip downs are usually not done frequently but in some working environments they may need doing more often. Having a maintenance schedule set up with ourselves can help keep the units clean and clear for longer, minimising the chances of strip down cleans. If you have a system that has developed poor airflow, has bad odour or is leaking water with no external condensate pump, give ACRC a call today for a FREE quote.
