A Gym in Walsall contacted us stating their air conditioning unit was in fault. Once on site we found the Mitsubishi Heavy A/C unit had a E55 Fault. This fault refers to the “compressor under dome thermistor being disconnected”. Thermistor cables were traced back to the PCB. We found the cables had been chewed apart outside causing the break in the connection. The system was left isolated, and a new sensor ordered.

Once the sensor arrived, we unplugged the damaged one and replaced it. The new sensor was fitted, and the unit turned on. Faults cleared and system went back into normal operation. Air offs were checked, and refrigerant pressures monitored. Unit running again as should and unit left in customers requested setting. To prevent this from happening again we can get a metal plate and seal off the pipe hole entry to help stop the risk of future damage.
